What to Bring on SAT Test Day

When preparing for the SAT test day, it's important to be organized and prepared to ensure that you have everything you need and nothing you don't. Here are the items that you should bring with you on test day:

  1. Face Covering: It is important to bring a face covering to comply with the COVID-19 safety regulations. The face covering should cover your nose and mouth at all times during the test.

  2. Admission Ticket: You need to print out an up-to-date admission ticket, which serves as proof that you have registered for the SAT. You cannot enter the testing center without it.

  3. Acceptable Photo ID:

You must bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver's license, passport, or school ID.

  4. Pencils: You must bring two No. 2 pencils with erasers. Mechanical pencils and pens are not allowed.

  5. Approved Calculator: An approved calculator is necessary for the SAT test. Check the College Board website to ensure that your calculator is approved for use during the test.

  6. Epinephrine Auto-Injectors: If you require epinephrine auto-injectors, such as EpiPens, they are permitted without the need for accommodations. However, they must be stored in a clear bag under your desk during the test. For information on policies regarding other medications and medical devices, contact Services for Students with Disabilities.

Remember to print out your updated admission ticket even if you have already printed it when you registered. It's important to ensure that your test center hasn't changed, and you won't be able to enter the testing center without it.

In addition to these necessary items, you may also bring a few other items that can be helpful:

  1. Watch (without an audible alarm): You may bring a watch to help you keep track of time during the test, but it cannot have an audible alarm.

  2. Extra batteries and backup equipment: If you need extra batteries or backup equipment, you must ask for permission to access them during the test, and they cannot be on your desk.

  3. Bag or Backpack: You may bring a bag or backpack to carry your items.

  4. Drink or Snacks: You may bring a drink or snacks for your break, but they must be kept in your bag or backpack and cannot be on your desk during the test.

Overall, it's important to be prepared, organized, and only bring what you need to ensure a smooth and successful SAT test day.
